Issey Miyake Rebrand
For my Graphic Design in Fashion midterm, I proposed a new sustainable line for designer Issey Miyake
For this project, I felt inspired by Issey Miyake's original dream of creating sustainable "clothes, both wilder and more useful, for ordinary people, unconstrained by age, size, gender or fit" and advocated for the creation of a genderless streetwear line, i.m. by Issey Miyake, to break down the constraint of price as well. i.m. by Issey Miyake features retro wear inspired by Miyake's earliest creations and adjustable jumpsuits for all sizes. The line would utilize recycled materials sourced from thrift stores before the clothes go to landfill in order to cut costs and improve accessibility with lower price points than any Miyake line has offered before.
